OUR SERVICES
The Cameroon Cooperative Credit Union League (CamCCUL) is mandated
to provide a vast gamut of services to its members found in all ten
provinces of the Republic of Cameroon with a prime focus on best
practice and cost effectiveness. It provides MIS technical support,
training and education, gender sensitization, representation and
consultancy support services to Credit Unions.
CamCCUL services aim at improving member Credit Union performance
and ensuring best service to Credit Union members.
Financial Management for the Network
Funds are pooled from all credit unions for security, better investments
and the provision of funds for more needy credit unions. Four
accounts are available to the credit unions – Shares, Fixed
Deposit, Special Fixed Deposit and Term Deposit.
Credit Management
The League provides profitable lending services to affiliates. Loans
are granted to affiliates at a reduced rate of 12%. Through
this service, the League also implements recovery strategies to minimize
delinquency in the network.
Personnel Management
The League develops and provides models to foster standardization
in the network. It
provides technical advice to affiliates on issues relating to organizational
structure and the management of network human resources.
Project Management
Apart from developing various funding projects, CamCCUL also oversees
the effective implementation of the various projects in the network.
Promotion
and Marketing Services
The League designs and deploys network marketing strategies develops
and distributes promotional material and ensures visibility for all
network members and products.
Specialized Audits
CamCCUL provides regular and annual professional audit services to
its affiliates. These include implementation of internal control
in all credit union operation to guarantee availability and reliability
of financial information.
Risk Management
Services
Through this service, CamCCUL provides protection for credit union
member life savings and loans.
Technical
Assistance and Supervision
A team of Field Technical Assistants carry out regular supervision
and control of credit union activities and advice credit union board
of directors and management on management issues.
Gender Related
Services
CamCCUL promotes gender equity in its network. It ensures
women involvement in the credit unions and seeks to resolve problems
that thwart women participation in credit unions and hinders their
economic empowerment. CamCCUL ensures the existence of women
committees in credit unions and ensures capacity building to women
committees to boost leadership skills.
Training
Services
CamCCUL trains credit union staff and management organs on a yearly
basis.
Management
Information Services
Development of software programs and provision of computer technical
assistance to credit unions.
Money Transfer
Operations
The League facilitates the transfer of money within the country through
a money transfer service via the credit unions spread all over Cameroon.
General
Administrative Services and Representation.
The League provides general administrative services to the credit
unions and represents credit unions in Government and Non-governmental
Organizations both nationally and internationally.
